"the pink artist" community art doll project for charity

"the pink artist" is a community of artists joining together
to create one joint art doll to raise money for
Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Thank you to everyone who has joined in to become a Pink Artist.
We appreciate your love & support for this group. Each artist has
donated 2x2 inch art square(s) that when joined together made
ONE creation, The Pink Artist Doll. ART for a cause,
raising awareness & funds for breast cancer with
doll sale (pending) directly benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
***
On April 1, 2008 our pink artist doll appropriatetly named Love Squared
was completed holding 180 artist squares and taking 182 artists TOTAL
to complete her. On April 7, 2008 our doll was shipped in for her photo shoot
with Art Doll Quarterly to be featured in a future issue (date to be determined),
with response being, "She is ever so much more impressive in real life..
It’s a gorgeous piece of work, and everyone here was very impressed. Thanks for sending her!"
ALL PROCEEDS from sale WILL DIRECTLY BENEFIT CHARITY.
Remaining squares have made a second art piece a reality. Thank you!

***
Group art included:
quilting, quilling, tatting, needlework, embroidery, mixed-media, polymer clay,
paint, doodling, felting, beading, childrens illustration, collage,
abstract art, paper, rubber stamping, photographs, digital art, rust art,
script, found objects, memorabilia
***
Your art holds:

names & initials of loved ones, motivational words, favorite quotes,
themes of LOVE, HEART, DANCE, BREASTS, faces, eyes, hands, poses, script
that danced from your fingertips, beaded symbols, thread embellished designs,
photos, digitally enhanced images, portions of poems you LOVe, Bible scripture,
felted hearts, painted portraits, rubber stamped lace, rusted objects, clay faces...
the THEME of LOVE is found in every single square.

Please know that by including your art square(s), links, & personal information you are granting permission for its use on my blog, in Art Doll Quarterly, in raffle (date to be determined) and in a journal to accompany doll in sale.
***
