"the pink artist" community art doll project for charity

"the pink artist" is a community of artists joining together
to create one joint art doll to raise money for
Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Thank you to everyone who has joined in to become a Pink Artist.
We appreciate your love & support for this group. Each artist has
donated 2x2 inch art square(s) that when joined together made
ONE creation, The Pink Artist Doll. ART for a cause,
raising awareness & funds for breast cancer with
doll sale (pending) directly benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
***
On April 1, 2008 our pink artist doll appropriatetly named Love Squared
was completed holding 180 artist squares and taking 182 artists TOTAL
to complete her. On April 7, 2008 our doll was shipped in for her photo shoot
with Art Doll Quarterly to be featured in a future issue (date to be determined),
with response being, "She is ever so much more impressive in real life..
It’s a gorgeous piece of work, and everyone here was very impressed. Thanks for sending her!"
ALL PROCEEDS from sale WILL DIRECTLY BENEFIT CHARITY.
Remaining squares have made a second art piece a reality. Thank you!

***
Group art included:
quilting, quilling, tatting, needlework, embroidery, mixed-media, polymer clay,
paint, doodling, felting, beading, childrens illustration, collage,
abstract art, paper, rubber stamping, photographs, digital art, rust art,
script, found objects, memorabilia
***
Your art holds:

names & initials of loved ones, motivational words, favorite quotes,
themes of LOVE, HEART, DANCE, BREASTS, faces, eyes, hands, poses, script
that danced from your fingertips, beaded symbols, thread embellished designs,
photos, digitally enhanced images, portions of poems you LOVe, Bible scripture,
felted hearts, painted portraits, rubber stamped lace, rusted objects, clay faces...
the THEME of LOVE is found in every single square.

Please know that by including your art square(s), links, & personal information you are granting permission for its use on my blog, in Art Doll Quarterly, in raffle (date to be determined) and in a journal to accompany doll in sale.
***
The Journey:
As the squares arrived each was photographed and shared along with the artists name & link
(as granted by artist). I've posted the progress of "the pink artist" doll from beginning to end here on my blog. You can follow the progress too by clicking these posts:

Thank you to everyone who has signed up and is joining in to fight this FIGHT with us. I'm delighted to have you be a part of our group. I have been emailing a special thank you to each of you (or have left a comment on your blog to thank you) so please know that if you haven't heard from me directly it is only because I do not have your link or email address as the comment left reads, "no-reply comment." I'd love the opportunty to say thank you personally. I'm truly honored that WE have joined together to create OUR doll to represent love, passion and JOY. Please be sure to mail your square(s) to me by March 1. Several artists have asked how many squares should they send in & please know that one square is more than enough, but ALL squares mailed in WILL go towards the making of our doll and to a wall hanging art piece- both pieces will directly benefit our charity. No square is turned away. Have fun! :) ~Monica

-SIGN UP has now closed-
Thank you to everyone who has joined in and became a Pink Artist.
We appreciate your love & support for this group. Each artist
has made a 2x2 art square that when joined together will make
ONE creation [the pink artist doll & wall art]- ART for a cause.

Though March 1 has come & gone, please know that if you have signed up but have yet to ship your squares, please still do so. I'm still accepting squares- absolutely. Some of you have written to say health, weather, & emergencies have kept you from getting to the post office.

LIFE comes first, always. Be safe. Be well. Please let me know if your square is on its way (if you haven't already). Now that sign up has closed, the doll will go fast.

Unfortunately there are 3 group members who have sent squares but their packages went lost in the mail. One of our group members has resent her squares. I'll keep posting squares to our "parade" for as long as those arrive, however the doll when finished will be shipped in to ADQ immediately after. If you prefer to resend squares, please let me know because after doll is created the remaining squares will go towards our wall art piece which is just as important to our cause and will raise money for our charity.

As of today, all squares that have arrived are posted to our parade of squares, pages 1 & 2 with the exception of 4 pkgs which will post on Monday with new arrivals. This will start page 3. I intend to email or leave posts on your blogs to let you know your contribution has arrived safely.

If you know someone who wanted to get involved, encourage them to do so. The wall art piece I imagine will take months to complete, we welcome any new additions to go towards the wall art piece.

Pat yourselves on the back, job well done! Uncertain yet as to the exact number of squares there are, but I'll be sharing that number when this draws closer to an end.

This project is one I'm most proud of. Your participation has encouraged me to live life beautifully, it has instilled in me the belief that PEOPLE ARE GOOD, and this joint effort has proven to me that ONE person can make a REAL difference.

Thank you!

Love & blessings, Monica

Don’t neglect your Enlarged prostate disease because it can lead to renal failure termed as obstructive uropathy. If you want to avoid urinary bladder stone formation that may be caused by increase of prostate size, then adopt Avodart earlier.

One should discuss with the doctors about the use of grapefruit and juice when you use the medicines like Tadalafil and Generic Cialis. Do not increase or decrease the amount of grapefruit products in your diet without first talking to your doctor.
