Happy October 1st! October has always been a special time for me. It is the birthday month for both my mom and sister. It marks the start of the cool, crisp Fall season which has always been a "lightswitch" to my creative journey, leading up to Christmas sewing. I don't know how it's possible that my friends can start their holiday sewing in JUNE.. no, not me. October is my patchwork month in that it is the season I combine a few of my favorite colors and scraps of RED, Magenta, green & Yellows to make something pretty. Gifts. Maybe I'm just trying to match the shades of the-soon-to-be falling leaves? Or maybe.. I'm just in patchwork heaven here.Check out the cool pincushion links here:

ahhahhahha. I know you didn't even really ASK me if I was ahead of the game. Nooo.NEVER.
THESE ARE FANTASTIC
I forgot to tell you I did see the mag and see what you were talking about when you said DRESDEN
These are much cuter I must say.
I see you have been going WILD
And check out that BANNER !
it's so cheery and happy here.
PATCHWORK IT !
Glad it's Your Time ! I am gonna sit back and love watching this ! Go go go

yes it is verycheery here! Delicious and inviting. The sewing machine is calling me like a siren from the danube... and the banner rocks! You are evidently well into your groove.
OOOOOOOOH!!!! So PRETTY and colorful! I love 'em, one & all, Lil' Monica! You will laugh, but I start my Christmas creating the minute I hear the cicadas singing because that's MY signal that Autumn WILL be here & then the HOLIDAYS! I already have tons of Christmasy things underway! Such fun! But none are as pretty and happy as your pincushions!
oh, dear me......I am in love w/your bright and cheerful FAT little pincushions! you're so smart and busy and creative;thanks for sharing the info also!
might I have half dozen, please? *big smiles* they REALLY are some heavenly patchwork treaties.
me? hmmm ... I am the LAST MINUTE QUEEN ... not proud, but honest. every year I bake 1000 loaves of lemon poppy seed bread, make ornaments as gifties and though my intentions are always in the right place, it's the rest of me that's slow to follow ... though I do have to admit that I have already started working on Halloween goodies. does this mean I get an "E" for effort?!?
seriously love the awesome pin cushions.
I love pin cushions and cannot for the life of me make one...especially one that really sharpens pins! Congrats on your fund raising efforts, too!

These are BEAUTIFUL!
I love the cooler air and I am inspired today to sew- I am making a choker for the Pink Charm fundraiser.
I will post it to my blog today or tomorrow when I am done.
I sew for the holidays all year round. I often start right after the New Year starts.
BTW- a while back you mentioned that your comp stalls when my blog loads. It used to freeze when I was on dial up.
It is probably all of the pictures and HTML that is running.
Has it stopped from happening for you?
Look at those adorable pincushions! They are fun to look at!
OH la la!! I love these! Makes me wish I had a sewing machine instead of needle and thread and bad lighting!
Bravo!
Connie
